Dr David Edmonds

David is a presenter and award winning documentary maker for BBC radio.  His favourite programme was entitled Can God can make a breakfast so big He can’t eat it?  He is the author, co-author or editor of 10 books which have been translated into 25 languages.  They include, with John Eidinow, the international bestseller Wittgenstein’s Poker – for which Bill Clinton has acted as (unpaid) promoter.  More recently, Would You Kill The Fat Man? received a three page review in The New York Review of Books and was picked as Editor’s Choice in the New York Times.  Philosophers Take On The World (2016), is an edited book of some of the best contributions to the Uehiro blog. David is the host of Philosophy 24/7  http://philosophy247.org/ and with Nigel Warburton he co-runs Philosophy Bites (www.philosophybites.com), the popular philosophy podcast which has had over 30 million downloads.  David has two philosophy degrees from Oxford and a PhD in philosophy from the Open University.  He has held fellowships at the University of Chicago and the University of Michigan.
